Disturbance – Multiple Threats Announced

On Tuesday May 15, 2018 just after 7:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call about a disturbance at a residence on Fulton Street. The victim, a 20 year old female, was able to leave the residence and reported that she had had a verbal argument with her boyfriend who threatened to burn her house down and steal her car. The accused was seen driving away from the residence in the victim’s vehicle. Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they safely located the victim. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and the accused who was arrested without incident. Information received was that the accused was currently bound by a court order with conditions. A 24 year old Brantford male is charged with Utter Threats to Damage Property, Take Motor Vehicle without Consent and Fail to Comply with Recognizance Order. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
