Impaired Driving

Location: Darling Street

On Sunday August 26, 2018 just before 8:30 p.m. Brantford Police
Service received a 9-1-1 call about a motor vehicle collision in a parking
lot of a complex on Darling Street. An unknown male had been driving a
pickup truck at a high rate of speed before losing control and colliding
with a parked vehicle in the parking lot. The driver was then observed
leaving the area. Community Patrol Officers attended to the scene where
they located the driver a short distance away. Upon speaking to the driver
he showed signs of intoxication and was arrested. The accused was
transported to the Brantford Police Service where he was to provide two
samples of his breath as required by law. The accused samples were over
the legal limit. A 26 year old Brantford male is charged with Impaired

vehicle was impounded for 7 days and the accused licence was suspended
for 90 days.
