On Thursday September 13, 2018 just before 5:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a business on Colborne Street. An unknown male had entered the store where he proceeded to pick up a 32” TV and walked out without making any attempts to pay for the item. Employees witnessed the theft and confronted the male outside the store. The suspect fled from employees running through yards of nearby residences. Community Patrol Officers attended and searched the area for the suspect. The TV was located hidden by a nearby property. Investigation revealed that the accused had fled the area on foot and was attempting to get into a taxi and leave the area. Officers were able to arrest the male without incident before he was able to leave the area. Information was received that the accused was currently wanted on an outstanding warrant for his arrest in another jurisdiction. A 42 year old Paris male has been charged with Theft Under $5000 and was also arrested on the outstanding warrant.
