On Thursday September 13, 2018 just after 9:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a business on Erie Ave regarding a theft. On Wednesday September 12, 2018 an unknown male had entered into the store and proceeded to steal the tip jar from the counter at the business and fled. The same male returned the next day and was attempting to again steal the money from the tip jar when he was caught and confronted by staff. The male fled the store and area on foot. Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located and arrested the accused a short distance away. A 26 year old Brantford male is charged with Theft Under $5000.00 and Breach of Probation.
