That’s right Mom and Dad, Auntie and Uncle, Nana and Gramps and all you Christmas parade lovers: JCI is pleased to have our own Brantford Power…”YOUR DELIVERY COMPANY”…as the Title Sponsor this year for the Santa Claus Parade, “Cinematic Theme Event”. Without commitment like theirs, it would be almost impossible to offer you the city’s largest attended annual free one day event. Santa’s elves have already calculated 15,000-20,000 happy children from one year to 101 years will be waving and shouting throughout.
The Route begins at McDonald’s on Dalhousie and Stanley Street and ends at Harmony Square on Dalhousie across from the Sanderson Centre. The first of 96 entries and 6 bands leaves at 6:00 pm. At Harmony Square, Santa and Mrs. Claus will oversee the lighting of the Harmony Square Christmas lights and greet each child that wishes a free photo with the jolly couple.
JCI, JayCees International, is a service organization for young men and women in our community that literally starts the planning for the next parade the very next day after the parade ends. Awards are determined by a panel of judges for a number of the floats entered. Given this year’s theme, “Cinematic”, Santa expects the innovative and creative Brantford juices to dazzle the crowd with memorable movie decorations before he comes by wishing everyone a happy and healthy Christmas.
Should you wish to become involved with JCI, that does several local fundraisers for charitable purposes, or even to help out for the parade, contact James Reinelt (519) 761-9202 firstname.lastname@example.org
And while we are at it, there are a bunch of incredible sponsors we would like to thank, that help us get the bands, the volunteers and of course eight recognizable reindeer:
