Colborne Street:

On Friday January 11, 2019 just after 5:30 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a business on Colborne Street. An unknown female had come into the business and had asked to use the phone. After using the phone, the female became upset and started to threaten to physically harm the staff. Before leaving the store, the female grabbed items put them in her purse and tried to flee the store. When staff tried to intervene, the female physically assaulted the staff and fled. Community Patrol Officers attended the area and located the female a short distance away. The accused was arrested without incident.

A 46-year-old Brantford woman is charged with Assault, Utter Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm and Theft Under $5000. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
