Here’s the story behind this shot today:
I had cautiously made my way down this slippery embankment to take some riverside shots. Once done, I swivelled my soaking butt around on the rock which I sat and wondered “how on earth did I get down here?” The rock I placed my boot on was wiggling like a loose tooth, so that was not the way back up and out. I sat and pondered and looked up again and saw this. Ok, it’s a bunch of soggy rocks and roots covered in moss but I think it looks pretty. I didn’t go in the direction of the shot (which looks quite straightforward but it’s not)and clutched a tree root just off camera and clambered back out. This was the day my boots got stink bombed. I see Mother Nature still hasn’t made up her mind in my neck of the woods. I will go and find a different woods with nicer weather.
