On Thursday June 27, 2019 just after 2:30 a.m. Community patrol Officers observed a vehicle pulled over at the side of the road on Charlotte Street. Officers observed that the vehicle was running, and the driver’s door was open.

They observed a female urinating beside the vehicle. Officers stopped and when dealing with the driver observed signs of impairment.

The driver was arrested and transported to the Brantford Police Service where she was to provide samples of her breath as required by law. The accused samples were over the legal limit. Investigation revealed the accused was also in possession of a Percocet pill with no prescription for it and that her driver’s license was currently under suspension.

As a result of the investigation a 31-year-old Burlington woman is charged with Operation While Impaired, 80 Plus and Indecent Act under the Criminal Code. She is also charged with Drive While Under Suspension and Novice Driver Blood Alcohol Content above Zero under the Highway Traffic Act as well as Possession of a Controlled Substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Her license was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
