This is most likely the dad Kingfisher. He and his wife were flitting along the north shore of the lake along with their kid. They were very loud, squawking at the kid, telling him how to fish. That’s my interpretation of what we witnessed. They were also giving us crap for being there but it’s not just their lake, it’s our lake too. I don’t have a shot of the 3 of them but I do have one of the mom and dad but I’ll show that later because I liked the setting of this shot. If I’d paddled one bit more he’d have fled the scene.
