Brantford Aquatic Club Takes Home Top Prize at Swim International!

Our Citizen Journalist, Dawn Hall, General Manager of the BAC shares her pride of the young people responsible for bringing swimming glory to the community.

The 44th annual Swim International competition showcased over 530 swimmers from across Ontario and Quebec.

The event was held over 3 days with more than 2500 races! Over 100 swimmers from the Brantford Aquatic Club swam this weekend contributing to the Club winning the Overall Team High Point award!

These sports ambassadors also bring thousands of dollars to the city in the way of economic contribution for hotels, restaurants and retail businesses.

Several Records were broken by our Brantford Aquatic Club swimmers this weekend: Angela Marina broke three Canadian National Para-Swimming Records: 400M Freestyle 4:47.31 – previous record 5:04.22 200M Individual Medley 2:37.39 – previous record 2:39.92 100M Backstroke 1:12.69 – previous record 1:13.79 Jack Tran broke three long-standing Brantford Aquatic Club records: 50M Freestyle 27.92 – previous record 28.33 from 2004 50M Butterfly 29.25 – previous record 31.53 from from 2004 50M Backstroke 32.33 – previous record 33.67 from 1992 Brantford Aquatic Club had number of medalists, and the following are those results.
