Brantford Police are currently involved in an ongoing investigation in the area of Paris Road and Seneca Crescent.
Just prior to 2pm a male attempted to sexually assault a female teenager in the Paris Road and Henderson Avenue area.
The suspect fled the scene in a motor vehicle and was promptly apprehended by police.
The victim was not injured as a result of the incident. At this time there is no further threat to public safety as the suspect is in custody.
Investigators are currently interviewing witnesses to the incident. More information will become available as the investigation progresses.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Det. Jason Sinning of the Major Crime Unit at 519-756-7050 ext. 2265.
