Brantford police are on the lookout for a suspect after a break and enter on Elgin St.
A 41-year-old Brantford man was arrested in a Grand Street home on March 7, after entering without permission.
The resident was alerted to a male in the home by a neighbour and called police just after 6:30 p.m. He believed the intruder was a relative who was not welcome in the home. Brantford Police officers attended the residence and arrested the male without incident.
Police discovered the male was also wanted for theft.
He was charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling, theft under $5,000 and four counts of breach of probation.
Police nabbed a 33-year-old Brantford man leaving an Elgin Street business with stolen property, but another escaped.
On Wednesday March 7, 2018 just before 6:00 a.m. Brantford Police saw two men leaving the business after cutting a hole in a fence and taking several spools of wire.
Officers tried to stop the two people, but one escaped on foot.
The male was arrested without incident and was found with bolt cutters and tools taken from the business.
The accused was also wanted on an outstanding warrant from another municipality.
The 33-year-old was charged with break and enter, theft under $5,000 and possession of break and enter tools.
