Crime: Brantford Police spot drunk driver
A 34-year old Brantford woman was arrested on Wednesday morning after she was found driving with an open beer in the vehicle.
Brantford Police saw the vehicle moving slowly round a parking lot on King George Road just before 1 a.m.
Officers stopped the vehicle and and the driver displayed signs of impairment and an open car of beer was seen inside.
The woman was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operate motor vehicle over 80.
The accused license was suspended for 90 days and her car has been impounded for seven days.

An 18-year-old Brantford man was arrested Wednesday morning with illegal substances after Brantford Police received a 9-1-1 call regarding a man entering vehicles.
Just after 4 a.m. police were searching the area of Maitland and Bruce Sts. For a suspicious person who was trying to open cars and walking up to residences. After a short search police discovered a vehicle that had been entered and located the man close by.
He was found with almost six grams of marijuana and a small amount of crystal meth.
He was charged with theft under $5,000 and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
A Brantford resident is missing a number of power tools after his Eagle Ave. residence was broken into sometime on Tuesday. The residents garage was ransacked and many tools were reported missing.
