A Brantford man was found driving more than 100 km/h on King George Road

A Brantford woman was arrested after she was found with a stolen vehicle. Brantford Police community patrol officers recognized a stolen vehicle parked at the intersection of Park Avenue and Victoria Street on Wednesday April 18, just before 10 a.m.

They spotted a female retrieving items from the backseat. When they stopped to talk to her, she ran. After a short pursuit she was arrested without incident.

A 21-year-old Brantford woman was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000, obstruct police and breach of recognizance order.

 

 

A Brantford woman was arrested after Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call reporting a suspicious person.

Patrol officers found the 29-year-old in a stairwell in a residential complex on Colborne Street on Wednesday, April 18.

She was in possession of three grams of cocaine, worth approximately $300.

She was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

 


A 24-year-old Brantford man was found driving more than double the speed limit on King George Road.

Community Patrol
Officers were monitoring traffic on King George Road. As part of a Road Safety Initiative and clocked the man going more than 100 kilometres and hour around 1 a.m. on Thursday, April 19. King George Rd. has a posted speed limit of 50 km/h.

Officers stopped the vehicle and the male was charged with drive motor vehicle – perform stunt speeding and speeding 101 km/h in a 50 km/z zone.

His driver’s license was suspended for seven days and his car was impounded for seven days.
