Break And Enter – Arrest

On Saturday June 23, 2018 just after 5:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received report of a Break and Enter in progress at an address on Brunswick Street. The owner of the residence had caught an unknown male inside his residence. The suspect male fled out the back door. Community Patrol Officers attended to the area and searched for the suspect male. Investigation revealed that the suspect had pried open the rear sliding door to the residence to gain entry. While searching the area for the suspect, Officers were advised that the suspect had stolen a bicycle from another residence in the area and had taken off. The bicycle had since been recovered a short distance away. The suspect was seen in the area going through backyards in attempts to avoid police. After a short foot pursuit, the accused was located and arrested without incident. Investigation revealed that the accused was currently bound by court orders with conditions. Brandon Allan Davie a 37 year old Brantford male is charged with Theft Under $5,000, Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000, Break & Enter with Intent and Breach of Probation under the Criminal Code. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
