On Saturday June 23, 2018 just after 11:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a residence on Tollgate Road. The victim advised that her brother had attended to her residence and started to cause a disturbance; he was asked to leave and was refusing. During the disturbance, the accused assaulted the victim, threatened to kill her and damaged a vehicle in the driveway. Community Patrol Officers attended to the residence where they located the male. The male was agitated and causing a scene outside the residence. Officers were able to calm the male, who was arrested without incident. Investigation revealed that the accused was currently bound by a court order with conditions. A 40 year old Brantford male is charged with Assault, Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm, Mischief to Property Under $5000, Cause a Disturbance and Breach of Probation under the Criminal Code. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
