A Brantford taxi driver was stiffed and assaulted
A man threatened to harm employees at a Market Street South business.
Brantford Police Services received a 9-1-1 call on Sunday just after 7 a.m. because a customer, who had previously trespassed at the business came in and caused a disturbance. Employees asked the man to leave, but he refused and threatened staff. Police found the man outside the store and he was arrested. A 46-year-old Brantford male was charged with mischief, uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death and breach of probation.
A taxi driver was assaulted by a passenger who refused to pay.
Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a cab driver on Sunday just before 4:30 p.m. because when he dropped off a customer on Colborne Street East, the customer refused to pay and assaulted him before walking away.
Police located the accused, who was bound by a court order with conditions.
A 51-year-old Brantford man was charged with assault, transportation fraud and fail to comply with an undertaking.
A man with drugs wouldn’t let customers to enter or leave a business on Market Street.
Brantford Police Service received a call from staff at a business on Market Street just after 11 p.m. because a staff member who spoke to the accused before he entered the store found a container with drugs.
The customer became upset and caused a disturbance in the store. When officers arrived they found the man in front of the store not allowing anyone to go inside or leave the business.
Police found .72 grams of crystal methamphetamine with a value of $60, 4.12 grams of crack cocaine worth $380 and .31 grams of fentanyl worth $100.
A 40-year-old Brantford man is charged with causing a disturbance and three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
