Speeders caught on King George Road

Brantford Police officers spotted a stolen vehicle and found drugs with the occupants.

Officers saw the vehicle on George Street on April 28, 2018 just after 2 a.m.

The vehicle had previously been reported stolen. Officers saw the parked vehicle and four people exit.

Officers attempted to arrest the four people, but the female driver fled on foot and was arrested after a short foot pursuit.

She had a knife and 0.78 grams of what police suspect is cocaine with an approximate street value of $100.00 located in the vehicle and another accused had of 0.23 grams of cocaine, worth approximately $40.

A 22-year -old female from Ohsweken is charged with possession of stolen property under $5000.00, possession of a prohibited weapon and escape lawful custody. She was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

A 34-year-old female from Ohsweken is charged with being an occupant in a stolen motor vehicle and breach of probation under the criminal code along with possession of a controlled substance. A 25-year-old male from New York is charged with being an occupant in a stolen motor vehicle. A 21-year-old female from

Brantford is charged with being an occupant in a stolen motor vehicle.

 

Brantford Police officers spotted a vehicle speeding on King George Road and the female driver had a suspended license and no insurance.

Officers were monitoring traffic on King George Road on April 28, just before 10:00 p.m.

Officers saw a vehicle travelling 89-km/hr in a posted 50-km/hr zone. Officers pulled the vehicle over and spoke to the female driver and discovered her driver’s license was currently suspended.

A 34-year-old Ohsweken female is charged with drive while under suspension and speeding 89-km/hr in a 50-km/hr zone under the Highway Traffic Act and well as fail to surrender valid insurance card under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.

 

 

A 20-year-old Brantford man was charged after going almost double the speed limit on King George Road.

On April 28, 2018 just after 5:30 p.m. Brantford Police officers were monitoring speeds on King George Road when they saw a vehicle travelling 98-km/hr in the 50-km/hr zone.

The male was charged with speeding 98-km/hr in a 50-km/hr zone under the Highway Traffic Act.

 

The tires and rims were stolen from a vehicle on Memorial Drive.

Brantford Police Services received a call just after 9:30 a.m. on April 28 after a citizen found their Dodge Ram Pick-up truck on blocks in a residential parking complex.

Sometime someone jacked up the truck and stole the tires and rims.

 

A man was caught trying to steal a vehicle at the Lynden Park Mall

Brantford Police Service received a report about a suspicious male in the parking lot of the Lynden Park Mall on April 29 just after 2:30 p.m.

Community members saw the 29-year-old Ohsweken man trying door handles and getting into various vehicles in the parking lot.

Officers went to the Lynden Park Mall where they searched the area for the suspect and found him forcing his way into a vehicle in the parking lot. The accused was arrested without incident. The male is charged with attempt theft of motor vehicle, two counts of possession of stolen property under $5000.00 and breach of probation.
