Assault – Multiple Charges Both Parties

On Tuesday May 15, 2018 just before 7:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a call about a male who had been stabbed in the back and was walking on Mohawk Street. Community Patrol Officers attended and spoke to the male who advised that he had just had a verbal argument with his friend and when he left, she had stabbed him in the back. The male was transported to hospital with a non-life threatening injury to his back. Officers attended to the residence where they located the female who confirmed the argument but also stated that she had received a stab wound to her leg from the male. She was transported to hospital with a non-life threatening injury to her leg. As a result of the investigation, a 38 year old Brantford male is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm, Assault with a Weapon and Breach of Probation. A 35 year old Brantford woman is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Assault with a Weapon. Both accused were held for a bail hearing.
