On Tuesday June 19, 2018 just after 12:00 a.m. Community Patrol Officers observed a motor vehicle traveling on Colborne Street travelling the wrong way on marked one way street. Officers performed a traffic stop and spoke to the female driver. Upon speaking to the driver, Officers observed signs of impairment and a roadside screening device was administered at the scene. The driver failed the roadside and was arrested. The driver was transported to the Brantford Police Service where she was to provide two samples of her breath as required by law. The accused readings were over the legal limit. A 34 year old Hamilton woman is charged with Operate Motor Vehicle – Over 80. The drivers licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
