Impaired – Suspended Licence
On Sunday June 3, 2018 just before 4:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call about a possible impaired driver. A pickup truck was observed driving in and out of marked lanes and hitting the curb. Community Patrol Officers attended to the area where they located the vehicle driving in the area of Clarence Street and Colborne Street. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle which did not stop at first but did pull into a business parking lot. While speaking to the driver officers observed signs of impairment. The accused was uncooperative with Officers at the scene. The accused was arrested and transported to the Brantford Police Service where he was to provide two samples of his breath as required by law. The accused readings were over the legal limit. A 32 year old St George male is charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Operate Motor Vehicle – Over 80. The accused licence was also suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
