On Monday June 17, 2019 just before 1:00 a.m. Community Patrol
Officers observed a vehicle travelling East on Colborne Street. Information was received
that the vehicles validation had expired. Officers performed a traffic stop on the vehicle.
As the vehicle stopped, the male driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers were
able to locate and arrest the driver after a short foot pursuit. Investigation revealed that
the driver was currently a disqualified driver under the Criminal Code and was a
prohibited driver under the Highway Traffic Act.

An 18 year old Brantford male is
charged with Obstruct Police and Operation While Disqualified under the Criminal Code.
He is also charged with Drive While Under Suspension and Drive Motor Vehicle – No
Currently validated Permit under the Highway Traffic Act.
