This weekend, June 8 – 10, Harmony Square will have a birthday party unlike any other. The line-up of events for this Festival is impressive with something for everyone. The Harmony Square planning committee has been working hard and tirelessly for months to bring together an event that Brantford can be proud of. There are so many things going on over the course of the weekend! Saturday night will feature headliner The Spoons at 8pm and a display of fireworks around 9:30 and the closing ceremonies on Sunday will feature a finale orchestrated by Brantford born Debra Brown, Emmy award winning choreographer for Cirque du Soleil.
In the square, the stage will have a constant stream of entertainers, as well, Dalhousie st will be closed off to cars and have a vast array of artistic and lifestyle vendors. A secondary stage on Dalhousie St. near Market St. will feature lots of local talent. Victoria Park will have workshops and activities and Brant County Museum will have free tours (10 – 5pm Saturday and Sunday). There will be attractions at Laurier Brantford (SC Johnson building) and the Brantford Public Library and Brant County Museum is giving free tours. Courtesy of Brantwood Farms, there will be wagon rides around Victoria Square on both days.
