Suspicious bicyclist investigation results in multiple charges

Location: Chatham Street
Incident: On Wednesday August 22, 2018 just after 2:00 a.m. Community Patrol
Officers observed a suspicious male riding a bicycle in the area of
Chatham Street. Officers stopped and spoke to the male. Investigation
revealed that the male provided false name information and was bound by
a court order with conditions that he was currently contravening. The
accused was arrested without incident. During the arrest the accused was
found to be in possession of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine

(0.30grams – value $50). A 33 year old Brantford male is charged with
Obstruct Police Officer, Breach of Probation, and Breach of Recognizance
under the Criminal Code. He is further charged with Possession of a
Controlled Substance (Crystal Methamphetamine) under the Controlled
Drugs and Substances Act. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
