On Monday February 11, 2019 just after 12:00 a.m. Community Patrol Officers observed a vehicle travelling on West Street. Information was received that the vehicles license plate validation had expired in 2018. Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke to the female driver. Upon speaking to the driver, Officers observed signs of impairment. A demand was given for a roadside screening device. The driver provided a sample which registered a fail. The diver was arrested and transported to the Brantford Police Service where she was to provide samples of her breath as required by law. The diver’s samples were over two times the legal limit. A 27-year-old Brantford woman is charged with 80 Plus under the Criminal Code. The drivers license was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
