Downtown Brantford | Attempted Bank Fraud
On Thursday April 25, 2019 just after 12:00 p.m. Brantford Police Service received a 9-1-1 call from a bank on Colborne Street. An unknown male had attended the bank with identification belonging to another person and was attempting to access their financial records. Community Patrol Officers attended to the bank where they located the suspect.
Investigation revealed that the suspect had stolen the identification and was attempting to access his banking information. The male was arrested without incident. Information was received that the accused was currently bound by a court order with conditions.
A 49 year old Brantford male has been charged with Personation Identity Fraud, Identity Documents and Breach of Probation x2.
