May 26, 2019,  Members of the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to investigate a single Motor Vehicle Collision at approximately 10:08 am. Colborne Street East near Hip’s Cycles was closed during Brantford Police Reconstruction Investigations until later Sunday evening.

The involved motor vehicle was travelling eastbound on Colborne Street when it lost control, crossed into the westbound lanes and struck a pole on the north side of Colborne Street across from the entrance to Clara Crescent. 

The driver, a 24-year-old Brantford man was transported to the Brantford General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His name is being held pending next of kin notification.
