𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝’𝐬 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐌𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Voter Information Letters will be mailed over the coming days and will outline when, where and how eligible Brantford electors can cast their ballots in the 2026 Municipal Election. Letters should be received by October 1. If you do not receive your letter, please contact the City of Brantford’s Municipal Election team at Election@brantford.ca or 519-759-4150.

Eligible electors can choose from three voting options this October:

𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
Online voting, also known as Vote by Internet, will be available from Tuesday, October 13 at 10:00 a.m. until Monday, October 26 at 8:00 p.m. Voters can cast their ballot from anywhere with internet access using their own computer or mobile device, including personal assistive technology if needed. Information about how to access online voting will be provided in Voter Information Letters and will be available at Brantford.ca/Election.

𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
In-person advance voting will take place from Thursday, October 15 to Sunday, October 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre, located at 254 North Park Street, and Brantford City Hall, located at 58 Dalhousie Street. Free parking will be available at Municipal Lot 3 (Darling Street) for those voting at City Hall.

𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
On Election Day, Monday, October 26, voting locations will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Brantford will use a Vote Anywhere in Your Ward model, which will allow a voter to vote at any polling station within their ward. Anyone unsure of which ward they live or own property in can visit Brantford.ca/FindMyWard to confirm.

Eligible electors may only cast one ballot in the City of Brantford, regardless of how many properties they own or rent within the city. Voters will cast a ballot for one Mayor and two Ward Councillor candidates.

𝐈𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
Voters are reminded to bring their Voter Notification Letter and identification showing their name and qualifying Brantford address to voting locations. A list of Election Day voting locations and acceptable identification is available at Brantford.ca/Election.

𝐕𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐲 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐱𝐲
Eligible electors who are unable to vote themselves may appoint a voting proxy to cast a ballot in person on their behalf. Information about voting by proxy, including the requirements and application process, is available at Brantford.ca/Election.
